Mohali | 10–12 August 2026

techcadd conducted an Agentic AI workshop at Quest Group of Institutions, Mohali, from 10–12 August 2026. The workshop introduced students to the emerging field of Agentic Artificial Intelligence and encouraged them to explore future opportunities in AI and technology.

It focused on Agentic AI’s potential to change how intelligent systems approach tasks, decision-making and problem-solving — and gave students a broader understanding of the evolving AI ecosystem.

What is Agentic AI?

Agentic AI refers to systems designed to pursue a goal through a sequence of steps rather than only responding to a single prompt. Depending on its permissions, an agent may interpret a task, plan actions, use tools, check results and adjust its next steps. Autonomy varies widely, and many applications still require human supervision.

Generative AI vs Agentic AI

  • Generative AICreates or transforms content in response to a prompt; people review what it generates.
  • Agentic AIWorks toward a goal through multiple steps — planning, using tools, observing results and continuing.
  • The human roleSet goals and permissions, supervise actions and review outcomes.

Potential applications

  • Workflow support across approved tools
  • Research assistance from permitted sources
  • Customer support with human oversight
  • Software development: planning, tests and debugging
  • Business operations with clear audit trails
  • Structured learning and practice planning

Responsible and safe use

  • Clear permissionsAgents access only the tools, data and actions they are authorised to use.
  • Human oversightPeople review consequential decisions and keep control of irreversible actions.
  • VerificationOutputs and actions are checked, especially where errors matter.
  • Testing and monitoringWorkflows are tested for failure cases before wider use.

How students can begin

  • Build foundations in AI concepts, data and programming.
  • Learn how prompts, tools, APIs and workflow steps combine.
  • Start with a small, low-risk project with clear boundaries.
  • Test with different inputs and note where it needs human review.
  • Evaluate outputs rather than assuming they are correct.

“More autonomy does not automatically mean better results.”

Through workshops and educational collaborations, techcadd aims to encourage curiosity, build technology awareness and help students prepare for an evolving digital landscape.
